If you will be 50 yrs old or better in 2015 and reside in British Columbia, you are invited to compete at the 2015 BC Senior Chess Championship.

Dates:  June 26– 28, 2015

Entry Fee:
$40 before June 1, 2015
$50 after June 1, 2015

Online registration is now closed.  Only 5 more players will be permitted to register onsite this Friday, June 26, 2015 from 5:15pm to 5:30pm.

Time Control:  90 mins + 30 sec increment
Forfeit:   1 hour grace — forfeit after 1 hour from the start time.

2015 FAQ

Who qualifies?
  • Any player who resides in BC and who is 50 years old or better in any part of 2015 is qualified to play in the 2015 BC Senior Chess Championship.
Can I pay by cheque?
  • Yes, mail your cheque for $40 (early bird entry fee), with post mark before May 31, 2015 to:   Paul Leblanc, 1012 Spiritwood Place, Victoria, BC V8Y 1C6
How do I pay after May 31, 2015?
  • You can pay $50 online or if you really, really have to, you can pay $50 onsite.
Will there be a Blitz tournament?
  • No, due to low interest, there will not be a blitz tournament this year.
What about parking and restaurants at venue?
  • Parking is FREE!
  • Tim Hortons and pub on site!
  • 1st tiebreak for non cash prizes is individual cumulative score.
  • 2nd tiebreak is cumulative score of opponents.
